About The Art Group

The Thankerton Art Group has been running for over 16 years. It's run by Chad McCail in his art studio. The group creates art for projects and also for the sake of making art. Using different materials like clay, wood, paint and cardboard there has been a large array of things made.

The group is also very interested in using materials that would normally be thrown away to create new art such as milk bottles or washing machine parts.

The group gets funding for big projects from the Clyde South Lanarkshire Wind Farm.
